Ms. Yolanda S! This is your 3rd debut and you have yet to disappoint. I am a fan of your writing style. This book was a refreshing read because the characters were teenagers. But for them both to be teenagers they were mature for their age. Harlem is by far 1 of the funniest male characters I have read. The things he said really made me laugh out loud. His witty comebacks and outrageous mouth just made you love him. Cola was the perfect balance for him. I really like Cola's character, after dealing with one heart break she toughened up and I appreciate you for not making her naive, although she didn't know Harlem sold drugs, it played out well because to me it just seemed like she gave him the benefit of the doubt, and his actions really didn't raise alarms to her. The drama in this book was just enough, it was overly dramatic. Just when you thought things would settle down. Drama crept up! The things with Harlem & Cola's teacher was crazy!! I was happy when they graduated and Harlem had to do some digging to get back in Cola's good graces. Now Cola's best friend was irrelevant too me, something about her I didn't like (and I can't remember her name for the life of me) but her "boyfriend" situation just stuck out to me, and I know in part 2 it's gonna all tie together. How things started to tie together with Cola and Harlem at the end made me more excited for part 2. My only con to this book is it seemed rushed at some points, even though the book was lengthy... Just some parts seemed rushed or I could've did without. But other than that, I must say this book was good! Lipstick Gang has some talent on their hands, and I can't wait to read more!Product details

This book was an awesome read and I cannot wait til part 2 drops. Harlem was definitely thee man very funny as well and cola is the right one for him to and I cannot wait to see James get dealt with cannot stand him.
This is the first book by this author that I've read! This book was everything! I love the chemistry between Harlem and Cola! I love their relationship! They both had a rough life but found solace in each other! That teacher mannnn was too much! Bring on part 2
This was a really good read. Harlem was something else. I love the love Harlem and Cola have for each other. I hope they can get passed the little situation that happened at the end. I hope James gets what is coming to him. Kudos to you on this book! Looking forward to part 2.
